What to do in Armação dos Búzios
The city
The central area of Búzios is covered on foot: Rua das Pedras and Orla Bardot bring together the shops and the restaurants by the water, and the statue of Brigitte Bardot stands on the seafront itself. The beaches run around the peninsula — among them Ossos, João Fernandes, Armação, Manguinhos, Ferradura and Tucuns — and the distance from one end to the other is short.

Getting there
Búzios has no scheduled commercial flights: Umberto Modiano Airport (BZC) serves general aviation, and the closest international airport is the one in Cabo Frio (CFB), in the city next to it. By land, access to the Lakes Region is via the RJ-124, the Via Lagos, and the peninsula is reached by the Rodovia José Bento Ribeiro Dantas.
