How we rank results
When you don't pick an order, the list comes out in the sequence described below. It reads top to bottom, band by band — there is no score, no rating and no calculation behind it.
The three bands, in this order
Band 1 of 3
Reserveon picks
Stays our team chose to highlight. No money is involved: it is an editorial choice, and each one has its reason recorded internally.
Band 2 of 3
Sponsored placement
Stays that paid to appear here. Every one of them shows the word Sponsored inside its own card, always visible and with no need to hover or tap.
Band 3 of 3
Alphabetical order
Everything else, by name, from A to Z. It is most of the list, and the sequence among those stays is always the same — nobody moves up or down inside it.
The limits of sponsored placement
- At most one sponsored stay per city, at any one time.
- The card always carries the word Sponsored, in the language you are reading in. We never use words like featured, recommended or partner to label advertising.
- The filters you choose apply to the sponsored stay too. If it doesn't match what you asked for, it drops out of the list like any other.
- A sponsored stay has to be genuinely available to book. An ad for a room you can't buy doesn't go live.
What is never for sale
- The commission a hotel pays us doesn't change the order. There is no better position for paying more commission, and no program, plan or package that moves the list outside the sponsored band.
- Filters, city search and sorting by distance have no sponsored band. When you choose a criterion, the list delivers that criterion.
- Guest reviews can't be bought and aren't edited at anyone's request.
